Man Arrested Sunday After Saturday Night Shooting
WARSAW — An Etna Green man is being held in custody after a North Webster man was shot Saturday night, Nov. 2.
Shawn Douglas McCrum, 53, of Etna Green, was being held without bond at the Kosciusko County Jail pending completion of an investigation, according to a news release issued by the Sheriff’s Office Monday night, Nov. 4.
Michael Reynolds, 45, North Webster, suffered a shot to the abdomen
Police responded to a report of a shooting victim in Milford at about 11 p.m. Saturday. They found Reynolds with a single-shot wound. He said he had been in an altercation with McCrum while in Etna Green.
Reynolds told police he drove himself to Milford after being shot. He was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police found McCrum at 228 E. State St., in Etna Green Sunday morning.
After a standoff, Kosciusko County’s SWAT team “breached” a door and ordered McCrum out of the residence at about 10:12 a.m.
McCrum surrendered without further incident and was taken to the county jail, the news release said.
