Dixon Seeks State Representative Seat For Unusual Reason
“Somebody’s going to lose their seat. If my opponent is allowed to continue behaving as he has in Indianapolis, it is going to be us,” Bill Dixon firmly stated. Dixon, candidate for state representative, recently made clear his rather unusual primary reason for running for the seat presently held by radical, right-wing conservative Curt Nisly.
“While Nisly’s positions are questionable, the real issue here is that we are going to go from two state representatives in our area to one.” Dixon alleges that multiple current state representatives have already told him that, if Nisly wins, the legislature will eliminate the seat in order to get rid of Nisly, who they believe exhibits unacceptable behavior on the floor of the House.
“This isn’t a normal election,” Dixon declared. “This isn’t about a particular issue like guns or schools or abortion. As basic as those are, this election is even more basic. It’s about whether or not we will keep this seat. Indianapolis will, because of growing faster, be due seats. It would be easy for the powers that be to give them ours.”
Dixon asks everyone to join him at his campaign fundraiser, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Maria’s Restaurant in North Webster.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $40 each. The menu includes walleye and fried chicken.
