Update On Activities At Bell Memorial Public Library
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library announced its news for the week of Nov. 25-29.
Bell Memorial Public Library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, for Thanksgiving, The library will be open during regular business hours on Saturday, Nov. 30, said a news release from Bell Memorial Public Library.

There will be no story hour this Friday, Nov. 29. Story hour will resume Friday, Dec. 6.
Euchre Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in the large conference room.

This month’s library board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25. Board meetings are open to the public and the public is encouraged to attend.
Board agenda is as follows:
- Authorization has been received from the DLGF regarding the 2020 budgets.
- Carpet squares were ordered for the children’s department.
- The library spoke with a contractor for the children’s department work. He plans to start the last week of November.
- Young adult room is now set-up to house the entire children’s department.
- Children’s department materials are now in the process of being moved into the young adult department. The conversion should take about two weeks, said the news release.
- New desks ordered from NAEIR.ORG were received early.
- Condolences to our custodian whose husband passed suddenly. Replacement chair received for the junior section at the company’s cost.
- Library Director Stephen Boggs will be participating in Junior Achievement at Mentone Elementary and later at Akron Elementary beginning in January. This is a five-week program. The library received the five new “mini-computers” purchased from Tech-Soup.
