High Wind Warning Issued By National Weather Service
WARSAW — A high wind warning is in effect for Kosciusko County from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Southwest winds will be 30-40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning extends across northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.
Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on north-south oriented roads.
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows.
The weather service also advises motorists to use caution when driving.
