Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

9:24 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, East CR 500N, east of East CR 750E, North Webster. Driver: Laymon E. Shepherd, 43, North Wilson Lake Road, Columbia City. Shepherd was traveling east on CR 500N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

5:27 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, West Crystal Lake Road, east of South CR 500W, Warsaw. Driver: Jon M. Heckman, 38, South CR 400W, Warsaw. Heckman was traveling east on Crystal Lake Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

6:39 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, East SR 14, east of South CR 300E, Claypool. Driver: Brandon W. Whelpley, 42, West SR 14, Akron. Whelpley was traveling west on SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

1:22 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, North Creek Bend Lane, west of West Zims Court, Milford. Driver: Grover Sparks, 70, North Creek Bend Lane, Milford. Sparks was traveling west on the roadway when his vehicle left the roadway and rear-ended a vehicle that was parked in the yard of a residence. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.

5:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, West CR 200S, east of South SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Lauraanne Davis, 20, North Franklin Street, Mentone. Davis was traveling west on CR 200S when she attempted to avoid a deer that ran into the roadway. As she did so, her vehicle left the roadway, striking a large group of trees. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.

2:12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, North CR 950E, south of B16 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A vehicle was traveling north on CR 950E when it went off the roadway, striking a utility pole. The unknown driver, as well as two passengers, identified as Virgil R. Dordon, 54, Warsaw; and Kurt O. Elder, 61, North Webster, left the scene. Dordon and Elder were later located at a residence and identified a Michael Nelson as the driver. Nelson was not located as of the time this report was filed. Damage up to $50,000.

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

6:01 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, West Van Buren Street, north of South Pearl Street, Leesburg. Driver: Martha E. Smith, 51, South Fifth Street, Pierceton. Smith was backing her vehicle when she struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

6:07 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, North Parker Street, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Craig W. Tidball, 65, South Walnut Drive, Warsaw; and Duane L. Miller, 70, East Nelson Drive, Milford. Tidball was traveling south on North Parker Street when he changed lanes of travel. As he did so, he struck Miller’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

1:16 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, North Detroit Street, north of East Canal Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cody L. Meeks, 26, East CR 900N 5, North Manchester; and Tyler D. Stoppenhagen, 37, North Bonestead Road, North Manchester. Meeks was traveling south on North Detroit Street when the mirror of his vehicle struck the mirror of Stoppenhagen’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
