Claypool Man Arrested For Possession Of Meth
WARSAW — A Claypool man was recently arrested after an officer searched him and discovered methamphetamine residue.
Arthur Crit Martin, 32, 5381 W. Turner Road, Claypool, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe, level 6 felonies; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Nov. 16, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department went to a gas station to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the officer saw Martin.
According to court documents, Martin was touching items on the sidewalk and then put his hands in his pockets when the officer approached him. The officer asked Martin multiple times to keep his hands out of his pockets. While searching Martin, the officer found a syringe that tested positive for methamphetamine.
The officer also found a black and silver digital scale on the ground and a small clear plastic bag containing a residue that tested positive for methamphetamine. Martin said the items on the ground were his.
Martin was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 16, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
