TCU Hosts Cash Giveaway Tonight At Tiger Den
WARSAW — A special pre-game ceremony will be held in the Tiger Den on Friday, Dec. 6, at the Warsaw Community High School boys’ basketball home game against Homestead.
Officials from Warsaw Community Schools and Teachers Credit Union will celebrate year three of a 10-year community partnership between the school system and TCU. Varsity will tip off at approximately 7:45 p.m. All TCU employees attending the game will receive free admission and a $5 voucher to use in concession.
Raffle tickets will be provided free of charge to all who attend the game. Three tickets will be drawn after the first quarter. During the halftime event, the three winning ticket holders will draw from three envelopes to win $10, $20 or a 30-second chance to Dash for Cash at center court for up to $1,000.
TCU will also be providing guests in the stands with promotional prizes. Registration tables will be set up near entrances to pick up raffle tickets and to learn more about Teachers Credit Union. These tables will close at the end of the first quarter.
Lake City Bank’s Alice Hitchcock Promoted
WARSAW — Lake City Bank announced that Alice Hitchcock has been promoted to vice president, wellness and benefit officer.
In this role, Hitchcock oversees new employee onboarding and employee benefit plan administration, coordinates the bank’s health and wellness program, and manages other human resources programs. She has been with the bank for 10 years.
Hitchcock earned her Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional Certification through SHRM and is a graduate of the Kosciusko Leadership Academy. She serves as secretary/treasurer for the Kosciusko Leadership Academy. She is also a member of Kosciusko County’s Child Care and Early Learning Coalition (LaunchPad), the Society for Human Resource Management and the Kosciusko Human Resources Association. Hitchcock volunteers for the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and Kosciusko Cares.
Interra Names Laura Miller VP Of Human Resources
GOSHEN — Laura Miller has been hired as Vice President of Human Resources at Interra Credit Union, Goshen, Jim Henning, Senior Vice President/CFO, announced recently.
“With her depth of experience and knowledge, we feel fortunate to have Laura on staff to focus on strengthening the employee experience for the more than 300 people who work here,” he said. In her new position, Miller is responsible for the design and delivery of the human capital strategy, while partnering with executive leadership to drive and deliver business objectives.
With more than 20 years of experience, much of it in the financial services industry, she has led all aspects of the human resources function. Most recently, that work has been with Citigroup’s Global Consumer Operations.
She is known for aligning culture to business strategy and building excellence within the human resources and learning teams. “What energizes me about my position at Interra is the opportunity to focus on Interra’s most important asset, our people,” she said.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, Columbus, Miller is a member of SHRM and was active in a variety of professional organizations. “I look forward to becoming active in the community here,” she noted. Originally from Poland, Ohio, Miller has relocated to the area from Sarasota, Fla.
Gary Larson Appointed To Crossroads Bank Board Of Directors
WABASH – FFW Corporation and Crossroads Bank have announced the appointment of Gary Larson to their Board of Directors.
Dan Ford, Chairman of the Board said, “We are very excited to have Gary join us as a director. His business background and financial experience will be valuable additions to the Board of Directors. He will serve on the Audit Committee and I look forward to the expertise Gary will bring to our organization.”
Mr. Larson currently serves as CFO & Corporate Secretary of The Ford Meter Box Company, Inc. In his role at Ford, he is responsible for financial reporting, treasury operations, risk management, internal audit, corporate development and a variety of corporate and shareholder matters, said a news release from FFW Corporation and Crossroads Bank.
Throughout his career, Larson has held a variety of management positions at Dover Corporation, Hillenbrand Industries, United Technologies and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a 1982 graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and is a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to a member of the board of directors of Ford Meter Box, Larson also sits on the boards of The ARC of Wabash County and Grow Wabash County, and also serves as Treasurer for Grow Wabash County. Gary and his wife Nan reside in rural Miami County and have four grown children.
