NORTHWOOD 66, WESTVIEW 53
NorthWood jumped on host Westview early with a 15-5 first quarter and pushed its lead out to as many as 20 points in a road win Thursday night.
Trent Edwards, Ben Vincent and Jamarr Jackson gave the Panthers a trio of double-digit outputs with 13, 10 and 11 points, respectively. Edwards and Brock Flickinger each passed out five assists as NorthWood tallied 14 team assist on 26-of-50 (52 percent) offensive efficiency from the floor. The Panthers also out-rebounded their hosts 40-22 en route to their second straight win.
Charlie Yoder scored a game-high 29 points with four assists and seven rebounds to lead the Warriors. Blake Egli scored 16 for Westview.
Wood improves to 4-1 and will play host to Fairfield Saturday at 7:45 p.m.

Warsaw’s freshmen took down Northern Lakes Conference foe Plymouth Thursday night.
Theo Katris put up a team-high 12 points for the Tiger freshmen, followed by Jack Murrell and Russ Winchester with eight points each and Riley Wood with six.
The Tigers move to 4-1 on the season and are in action Friday when they travel to Lake Central.

Wawasee’s seventh grade boys basketball teams earned a split with Fairfield Thursday evening, winning the ‘A’ game by a comfortable margin while falling just short in the ‘B’ game.
