Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

5:13 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, US 30 and North CR 800W, Atwood. Drivers: Merlin J. Slabaugh, 18, 15B Road, Bourbon; and Brian L. Elsbury, 52, Farm Crest Circle, Mishawaka. Slabaugh was traveling south on CR 800W. After stopping at a stop sign at the intersection of US 30, Slabaugh pulled into the path of Elsbury’s vehicle and was struck. Damage up to $50,000. 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:53 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, SR 15 and Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Tracy A. Nichols, 41, Lovetts Lane, Warsaw. Nichols’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

5:41 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Dana M. Maggart, 46, Evergreen Drive, Warsaw; and Isidro P. Sanchez, 51, North Winds Drive, Warsaw. Maggart’s vehicle struck Sanchez’s vehicle as Maggart was backing up to allow another vehicle to pull out of a parking space. Damage up to $2,500. 

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

11:58 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, Old Road 30, east of South CR 325E, Pierceton. Driver: Lawrence J. LaFollette, 21, North CR 260W, Wawaka. LaFollette’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
