Nappanee Man Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Minors
WARSAW — A Nappanee man faces charges after a report filed with the Department of Child Services named him as a suspect in the molestation of three minors.
Zachary D. Miller, 22, 6415 West CR 900N, Nappanee, is charged with two counts of sexual battery, both class D felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a report was filed with DCS on May 14 alleging that three minors were possibly molested by two people, with Miller named as one of the suspects.
On May 23, family case management personnel and a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office detective conducted an interview with two of the minors. The first minor said that Miller touched her sexually, describing a specific incident.
The second minor said that on one occasion, Miller pulled her into a bedroom and climbed on top of her. The minor said she was able to push him away, although he did touch her in a sexual manner.
On June 3, the detective interviewed Miller, who admitted to having sexual contact with both of the minors interviewed earlier by the detective and family case management personnel.
Miller allegedly told the detective that the last incident with the two minors occurred when he was 17 years of age, or approximately four years ago.
