‘Sexualization Of Children’ In Public Schools Topic Of Meeting Saturday
SILVER LAKE — The Silver Lake Community Center will host a public discussion about what an outside group deems “The Sexualization of Children in Today’s Public Schools.”
The meeting is from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11.
The five-hour event is organized by the Indiana Liberty Coalition, according to Silver Lake Community Center co-owner Teresa Martin.
The Indiana Liberty Coalition is a watchdog organization that advocates for traditionally conservative stances on issues such as religious freedom, Second Amendment protections, and right-to-life.
Saturday’s event follows the news of Manchester Community Schools accommodating a transgender student. The issue was addressed at a Manchester Community Schools Board Meeting in December.
According to the Facebook event page, Saturday’s event aims to address the issue claiming schools in rural Indiana are willfully violating the safety and privacy of students with transgender bathroom access.
The event will be split into three parts. Time for Q & A will be available after each session.
From 10 a.m. to noon, “The History of Today’s Radical Sexualization of Children” will cover the history of the issue and how Indiana is claimed as the epicenter.
Lunch will be served at noon, but a donation is requested to cover the cost, the Facebook page said.
From 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., officials will discuss “How Lilly and the Teacher’s Unions are Pushing Gender Ideology in Schools,” and looks at claims of how the pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly and Company, and teacher’s unions target schools with what the group calls “the radical gender ideology,” said the event page.
The Silver Lake Community Center is at 979 West SR 14, Silver Lake in the former West Eel River Brethren Church.
