CLAYPOOL — Burket/Seward Township Fire Department with the assistance of other area fire departments responded to a residential fire south of Burket, Sunday afternoon, Jan. 19.

At about 2:36 p.m., Burket/Seward Township Fire Department received a call for a residential fire at 8324 South CR 700W, Claypool, just south of Burket.

According to Beacon, the property belongs to Kevin and Rhonda Banghart of Claypool.

Assisting Burket/Seward Township were Mentone Fire Department, Mentone EMS, Claypool Fire Department, Henry Township Fire Department and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.

The focus of the fire appeared to be the upper portion of the residence. Little other information was available at the scene.
