Grace To Host Dr. Cardoza’s ‘Christian Education’ Book Signing
WINONA LAKE — Grace Theological Seminary will host a faculty book signing for Dean of Seminary, Dr. Freddy Cardoza’s book, “Christian Education,” on Monday, Jan. 27, from 3 to 4 p.m.
The signing will take place in the William Male Center Lobby, 999 College Ave., Winona Lake. There will be a short program followed by refreshments. Book copies will be on sale for $25. The book signing is open to the community, said a news release from Grace Theological Seminary.
“Christian Education: A Guide to the Foundations of Ministry” is a textbook that situates Christian education in the church and ministry context of the 21st century. The book includes chapters relevant to the Digital Revolution and the challenges of our time.
“Because our world is in such a radical time of change, there was a need to provide this generation of leaders, as well as emerging ministry leaders, with a comprehensive overview of most areas of church ministry,” said Cardoza. “The last major volume which addressed these areas was written 20 years ago,” he added.
Cardoza’s 20-plus years in ministry, teaching, and leadership uniquely qualify him to bring together a wide range of Christian educators. The volume features the expertise of 25 evangelical scholars of Christian education, including diverse, next-generation voices in the field.
“Freddy Cardoza has assembled an exemplary team of educators and theologians to compile this text. All of these authors are subject-matter experts in their fields, and their corresponding chapters represent some of the most cutting-edge research paired with real-life ministry applications. I applaud this tome and highly recommend it to anyone in the field of Christian education and spiritual formation,” stated Dr. Michael J. Anthony, a research professor at Talbot School of Theology.
Released in November of 2019, the book is already being used as a text in major Christian colleges and seminaries, replacing best-selling textbooks in the field.
