Dr. Sabeena Ramrakhiani To Speak On Heart Health Thursday
WARSAW — In recognition of Feburary’s designation as Heart Month, the Parkview Warsaw Center for Healthy Living will host cardiologist Sabeena Ramrakhiani, MD, Parkview Physicians Group-Cardiology, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, as she explains how the brain can benefit the health and well-being of the heart.
Scientists are beginning to understand the negative effects that long-term stress, anxiety and today’s fast-paced lifestyle can have on one of the body’s most important muscles. They are also beginning to recognize the positive effects that the brain can have on the heart.
“Advancements in medicine and pharmacology are always ongoing, but we also want to help patients learn how to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into their lives to improve their heart health,” said Dr. Ramrakhiani. “Learning how to harness your body’s ability to help itself is a powerful tool.”
The free discussion will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Parkview Warsaw Center for Healthy Living, located inside the Parkview Warsaw YMCA. Light, heart-health hors d’oeuvres will be served.
To reserve a seat, call the Parkview Warsaw Center for Healthy Living at (260) 266-6500 or (844) 835-0003.
