Larry L. Stavedahl
He was born on June 20, 1937 in South Bend, to the late Charles and Eva Mae (Blew) Stavedahl. He married on Oct. 27, 1957, in the Mentone First Baptist Church to Rebecca M. “Becky” Bowser; she survives.
He worked for Lowry’s Sewing Center of Warsaw for over 25 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a 1956 graduate of Talma High School. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play in many sporting events. He served as song leader, church bus driver, and deacon at the Talma Bible Church. He was always active in church and led church services for 13 years on Sunday mornings at Pic-a-Spot Campground. Most recently he attended Cornerstone Church of Mentone and after moving to Warsaw, he attended Pathway Church.
Survivors include his wife: Becky Stavedahl, Warsaw; daughters: Angela (Lee) Swihart, Rochester; and Sheri (John) McDaniel, Warsaw; sons: Rodney (Kim) Stavedahl, Fort Wayne; David (Christine) Stavedahl, Warsaw; and Curtis (Andrea) Stavedahl, Etna Green; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother: Ted (Becky) Stavedahl, Redding, Calif.; and a sister: Alice Vining, Glen Ellyn, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Richard Gene Stavedahl.
The funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St. Mentone, with Pastor Rod Utter officiating.
Burial will take place following the funeral service in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
