Family Bingo And Movie Screenings At North Webster Community Public Library
NORTH WEBSTER — Family Bingo, movie screenings and more offered at North Webster Community Public Library.
While Wawasee school kids enjoy a day off from school for trimester break, bring them to North Webster Community Public Library to play Family Bingo 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. It is fun and easy to play for kids of all ages and everyone goes home with lots of prizes, said a news release from the North Webster Community Public Library.
Adults can treat themselves to a free movie matinee at the library at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. The library will screen a 1959 thriller about a World War II submarine crew and their secret mission against the Japanese in the South Pacific.
Take the whole family out for a free movie at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 when the Youth Department shows a 2019 family comedy about a team of expert firefighters whose fire depot is turned upside down after rescuing three kids from an encroaching wildfire. The move is rated PG and runs 96 minutes. Free popcorn is included.
Those who enjoy southern cooking will want to participate in Revolving Recipe Round-Up at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. Prepare your favorite southern dish, or try a new one, and bring it to share along with a copy of the recipe. Sample dishes that others have brought, swap recipes and enjoy good food and fellowship. The library will provide table service and free coffee. With a different food focus each month, Revolving Recipe Round-Up meets the fourth Tuesday each month.
Since it comes only once every four years, the Youth Department is celebrating Leap Year Day with special activities for kids 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29. There will be leapfrog crafts, puzzles, a leap year trivia quiz and other fun stuff.
While in the Youth Department, check out a Grab ‘N Go bag filled with 10 books themed to specific subjects or Accelerated Reader reading levels or borrow a Book Buddy Play Kit filled with a book and educational toys.
