Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
8:12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, West CR 600N, west of North CR 600W, Warsaw. Driver: John C. Moorman, 57, West CR 600N, Marion. Moorman was traveling west on CR 600N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
7:51 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, North CR 100E, north of East CR 350N, Warsaw. Driver: Jacob M. McDowell, 20, EMS C29 Lane, Warsaw. McDowell was traveling south on North CR 100E when his vehicle left the roadway. McDowell complained of leg pain but refused medics at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, East Backwater Road, near North SR 13, North Webster. Drivers: Eric M. Zorn, 17, EMS B34 Lane, Warsaw; and Helen A. Leitch, 62, South Melwood Park Drive E., Kimmell. Zorn was attempting to turn left onto SR 13 from Backwater Road when his vehicle struck Leitch’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
11:26 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, North Main Street, south of West Center Street, Sidney. Driver: unknown. A parked vehicle was rear-ended. The driver who caused the damage is unknown. Damage up to $5,000.
11:11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, North SR 19, north of West CR 250N, Etna Green. Driver: Nicholas J. Lawrence, 36, East Evergreen Drive, Warsaw. Lawrence was traveling north on SR 19 when the back end of his vehicle’s trailer went off the roadway. This then caused Lawrence’s vehicle to overcorrect and roll over as it continued to leave the roadway. Lawrence sustained injuries to the back of his head. A passenger in Lawrence’s vehicle, Sydney N. Livengood, 25, Mentone, sustained several abrasions on her head and arms. Both Lawrence and Livengood were taken to an area hospital for their injuries. Damage up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:18 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Gabrielle T. Waikel, 19, North Perry Drive, Milford. Waikel was backing her vehicle when she struck the northwest corner of the Syracuse Fire Station building. Damage up to $2,500.
