CCAC Offering Up League Opps
WARSAW – Six inches of snow on a Wednesday. It’s still just a few weeks away from baseball season, and the CCAC is getting the leagues and lineups ready for another season of exciting action.
A trio of youth leagues are being formed. A girls fastpitch instructional league for 12U and 14U players. The league is being set up to have the first two weeks of practice serve as an evaluation period, to which an All-Star team for each age group will be made. Those players will then compete from May to July against teams from New Carlisle to Wawasee. Those not immediately chosen for the travel squad will continue to practice and serve as a feeder, with the opportunity to move up.
Deadline for the softball team signups is May 1.
There will also be an 8-10 U fastpitch league that plays twice a week from May to July. Deadline for this league is May 8. Boys and girls T-Ball is also on the docket for children ages 5-7 years old. Deadline for this league, which runs from May to July, is May 8. Note, these two leagues are strictly instructional unless there are enough players signed up to make teams to scrimmage.
Those interested can sign up on the CCAC website, which also holds more information, cost and exact dates for the leagues.
