North Webster Woman In Critical Condition
SYRACUSE — Amy Pavel, 23, North Webster, is in critical condition at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, following a two-vehicle crash Thursday night, Feb. 27, on CR 800N, 300 feet east of CR 550E, Syracuse. The crash occurred at 5:45 p.m.
Pavel’s injuries were not available.
Amy D. Hill, 45, North Webster, and her 7-year-old female back seat passenger, also of North Webster, suffered facial and neck injuries. Both were transported to Parkview Hospital, Warsaw.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports emergency crews were dispatched to CR 800N, in the area of CR 550E, for a two-vehicle collision. According to information gathered by investigating deputies, Pavel, driving a 2000 Toyota Camry, lost control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway, crossing the center line of travel and entering into the lane of the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Hill.
The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. Extrication was required to remove the drivers from their respective vehicles.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Fatal Team.
Responding with the sheriff’s deputies were North Webster Police Department, Turkey Creek Fire Territory and North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Fire Department.
