WINONA LAKE — Grace College issued a statement Wednesday night saying the campus is closely monitoring developments of the coronavirus.

A response team has been assembled on campus to continually assess the situation, develop response plans and coordinate communication. Grace College administrators are in regular contact with local and state health departments, the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Education, said a news release from Grace College.

To date, there are no reported or confirmed cases of the coronavirus among Grace students, faculty or staff.

One Grace student has been tested for the coronavirus. While awaiting test results, the student is at home (not on campus) per the recommendation of the Indiana Department of Health.

Grace College President Dr. Bill Katip commented, “Our highest priority is to safeguard the health and well-being of our students and employees.  We will continue to closely monitor coronavirus developments and make decisions accordingly, including the possibility of online instruction.”
