NORTH WEBSTER — Have you considered joining a book club, but don’t want to get stuck reading a book you don’t like?

Then check out Voyager Book Club at North Webster Community Public Library. It is a different kind of book club that lets each participant choose their own book to read, said a news release from North Webster Community Public Library.

Meeting monthly at 10 a.m. on the fourth Monday, Voyager Book Club focuses on a selected genre each month and members are free to read any book within that genre. They then share and discuss what they have read. It is a good way to discover books and authors members may not have found on their own. On Monday, March 23, Voyager Book Club meets to discuss fiction books. If you have read a good fiction lately, bring it to share and discuss.

After Voyager, hang around for the movie matinee at 1:30 p.m. The Adult Services Department will be showing a 1961 musical romantic comedy starring the King of Rock n’ Roll.

Bring the whole family for a night at the movies 5 p.m. Thursday, March 26 when the Youth Department shows a 2019 animated Disney sequel about a snow queen who travels to an enchanted forest. Free popcorn included.

If you enjoy trying new foods and recipes, come to Revolving Recipe Round-up at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. With each month focusing on a specific kind of food, ingredient or preparation technique, participants are invited to prepare a dish and bring it to share along with the recipe. This month participants are asked to bring a dish that requires rolling to prepare and bring it to share. Meeting the fourth Tuesday each month, Revolving Recipe Round-Up is a fun way to sample new recipes while enjoying good food and fellowship. Table service and coffee is provided.
