Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator To Lead Book Study
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools recently announced that Gina Courtois, social-emotional learning coordinator, will lead a community book study, which will begin after spring break.
The chosen book is “The Power of Showing Up: How Parental Presence Shapes Who Our Kids Become and How Their Brains Get Wired” by authors Dan Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson. The first 50 to sign up will receive a free book.
Courtois recently had the opportunity to hear Siegel speak.
“He was full of great information and ideas,” said Courtois. “In one of his sessions, he spoke about the power of relationships and mentioned his book ‘The Power of Showing Up.’ In this book, Siegel and Payne articulate and quantify how to make parenting easier and better.”
