More Than 5,500 Hoosiers Test Positive For COVID-19
INDIANAPOLIS — More than 5,500 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
The latest posting on the ISDH website shows the number of deaths increased from 139 on Monday morning to 173 on Tuesday, April 7.
The number of positive cases in Indiana totals 5,507, up from 4,944 on Monday.
The number of total tests administered is 28,764.
Locally, Kosciusko County has 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Fulton County has three positive cases, Wabash County has five positive cases, and Whitley County has eight positive cases.
Marshall County has 10 confirmed cases, Noble County has 11, and Elkhart County has 43.
Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state, with 2,141.
In northern Indiana, Lake County has 418 positive cases; St. Joseph County has 129 positive cases; and Allen County has 87 positive cases.
