ROCHESTER — The condition of an unidentified person at a Fort Wayne hospital is unknown following a shooting near Rochester Sunday evening, April 19.

Fulton County 911 received a call at approximately 6:24 p.m. Sunday of a shooting that had occurred in the 1000 block of CR 400E, Rochester. At that time, dispatchers had sent units to the address. Rochester Police Department officers were already on scene at Woodlawn Hospital with the person who had been shot.

Once on scene at CR 400E, officers discovered there was a domestic disturbance that had occurred inside the residence in which shots were fired and one of the occupants was struck. That person was transported to Woodlawn Hospital and later transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.

Fulton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rochester City Police in this investigation, which is ongoing. Findings will be sent to the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office for review upon completion.
