CULVER — Kristen Fisher, 43, Monterey, died as a result of a two-vehicle crash at SR 17 and 20A Road, Culver, Monday evening, April 27. The crash was reported at 5:55 p.m.

Fisher’s husband, Arthur Fisher, 44, was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hospital, South Bend. The two children in the vehicle were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center by helicopter. Mrs. Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marshall County coroner.

Shannon Lancaster, Rochester, was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

The injuries are unknown.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports a witness told authorities Fisher’s Buick LeSabre went off the southwest edge of the roadway. Fisher then overcorrected the vehicle, steering the vehicle back east, and skidding into the northbound lane and the oncoming Ford Edge driven by Lancaster.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Culver EMS, Culver Fire and Fulton County EMS and Fire units responded.
