Ag Industry To Discuss COVID-19 At Noon Friday

INDIANAPOLIS – On Friday, May 22, the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and the Indiana State Board of Animal Health will again co-host a conference call for those in the agricultural sector to discuss the current coronavirus situation.
During the call, Steve Brown, Indiana State Executive Director, Farm Service Agency, will provide program updates on Direct Assistance to Farmers through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.
Dr. Cassey Mull, Purdue Extension Assistant Director and Program Leader for 4-H Youth Development, will provide information about 4-H programming and county fairs this summer.
This call is another of the regular Friday industry calls to focus on issues impacting those in the agricultural sector, including, but not limited to, the impact of the stay-at-home order and other current developments. Just a reminder: The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is not a foodborne pathogen and is not food transmitted.
