First Friday Warsaw Will Hold Second Online Event

WARSAW – First Friday Warsaw will host its second Virtual First Friday event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 5, on the First Friday Warsaw Facebook page.
This month’s events will include the continuation of the WCDC’s Downtown Warsaw Gift Card Fundraiser, which will now run indefinitely. $25 Gift cards to participating downtown Warsaw merchants and restaurants are available for purchase at www.WarsawCDC.org – 100% of sales go to participating merchants of your choice.
Gift cards may be redeemed instore and/or online at participating merchants/restaurants where available. Merchant’s will contact their customers to arrange for pick-up/delivery of purchased gift cards. This fundraiser is intended to help downtown Warsaw small businesses through the COVID-19 crisis and reopening stages.
A county-wide Amateur Photo Contest in which non-professional photographers ages 18 and older may post their best photo of Kosciusko County (any subject matter) to their own Facebook page and tag @First Friday Warsaw for a chance to win one of three photo sessions with Bob List Photography, Courtney Freeman Photography, or Cox Studio valued at $150.
A People’s Choice Award valued at $100 will also be awarded to the photo/contributor with the most Facebook “Likes”. The community is encouraged to visit the First Friday Warsaw Facebook page to “Like” their favorite photos as a means to cast their votes.
All photo entries must be posted/tagged @First Friday Warsaw between now until 5 p.m. Friday, June 5. Bob List, Courtney Freeman, Mike Klondaris will serve as judges for the Professional’s Choice Award. Professionals Choice and People’s Choice winning entries will be announced Tuesday, June 9th.
Warsaw’s Columbia Street Jazz Quartet will be featured on First Friday Warsaw’s Facebook page with a live performance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The jazz quartet consists of Warsaw natives, Ben Essick, Wally Brath, Graydon Brath, and Jack Kinney.
A salute to our hometown heroes will be part of Warsaw’s first on-site First Friday in July.
In partnership with The Kosciusko Honor & Remember Committee, we will honor Kosciusko County Veterans who served from May 8, 1975, to present and any other veterans who have not yet been recognized for their service will be honored at this event. The event will take place at Fribley Field, located on East Market Street in Warsaw, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 3.
