One Candidate Stands Out
Dear Editor,
I am a litigation/trial paralegal of thirty-seven years. I worked in Kosciusko County as such from 1988-2014.
During that time, the majority of my work was preparing cases for trial alongside the attorneys I served. This entailed participating in pretrial hearings and trials.
I have spent countless hours before judges who are charged with the very surreal duty of assuring justice is served. Judges preside over a case from the time of filing until judgment is rendered. Judges make legal determinations and conclusions along the way to ensure the case is tried in compliance with the laws and rules of procedure. To preside over hearings and trials, a Judge must have vast experience in actual participation of preparing a case and taking it to trial. There is no substitute for trial experience.
Karin McGrath is the only candidate for Judge of Superior Court 3 who has tried difficult complex cases, including Felony OWI Causing Death. Previously as a deputy prosecutor and currently as a defense lawyer, Karin stands out from the other candidates in knowledge and experience having tried hundreds of cases.
I have known Karin for 22 years. I have had the honor of serving with her on volunteer boards. She tackles the tough tasks with integrity, tenacity and resolve.
Karin is the Judge you would want to preside over a trial in which you or a loved one might be involved. I encourage the residents of Kosciusko County to vote for Karin McGrath on June 2nd.
Respectfully,
Tracey Rose
