KC Recycling Back On Track
Staff Report
WARSAW – Operations are back on track for KC Recycling in Warsaw.
The Solid Waste Board met via Webex on Tuesday morning, May 26.
Everything at the Kosciusko County Recycling Department is back to normal except for latex paint recycling. This means that Household Hazardous Waste recycling is open by appointment only.
Residents must first book a time slot through https://kcrecycling.youcanbook.me/. HHW intake will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. KC Recycling officials ask that visitors wear a face covering and expect to remain at the facility for the duration of your appointment.
Anyone dropping off chemicals must have an ID with them that matches the name on the appointment book.
The office says that all products brought to the facility need to be labeled, upright, and organized. The items don’t need to be sorted but chemicals that are thrown in a bag, leaking, or unmarked will not be accepted.
For information on at home latex paint disposal, visit KC Recycling’s website.
The board further discussed budget issues that will be finalized in the June meeting.
June’s meeting will be back to an in-person setting with Webex still being an option. The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. June 23.
