Syracuse Library Has New Hours, More Services

SYRACUSE – Curbside pickup of books, movies, and requests such as for, tax forms and free masks continues in the next phase of opening at the Syracuse Public Library beginning Monday, June 1.
The new hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. and Tuesday, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
WorkOne is bringing its services to Syracuse from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays for those with appointments. They are scheduling at a direct WorkOne number, (260) 255-5079.
Individuals, over age 16 will be allowed in the building to make copies, send faxes or use a public computer with a reservation
Calls will be answered during business hours at (574) 457-3022. Reservations can also be scheduled through the Syracuse Library Facebook page or a link on the website.
Entry into the building is through the front door and masks are required. Social distancing will take place with book pickup continuing out of the Harrison Street door.
Summer Reading Fun Adventures:
The world may look very different this summer, but the Summer Reading Program at the Syracuse Public Library is going to be as fun as ever! The program begins June 1 and will finish up July 31.
All kids are invited to participate in our Kids Summer Reading Program with two levels of game cards that when completed give the reader a loot bag filled with cool stuff. Completing a second game card rewards with a new book. Get a game card and complete instructions for activities to enjoy finding while finding favorite books this summer.

Summer reading at the library can be virtual or hands-on. Teens are invited to join the Facebook group, Syracuse Summer Teens, and follow activities online. Books to record and finish activities are available to pick up at the Syracuse Library. Teens can earn a bounty of coupons and ultimately get to choose a book and tee-shirt. Adults on the Trail:
Discover connections on with a walk on the trails that starts at the library at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays. Moms can talk with other moms and adults get to learn about what is happening on the trails when Erlene Yentes, Becky Brower, and Margo Wilson tour the backstreets and alleys in downtown Syracuse.
