NEW PARIS — A two-vehicle collision at US 6 and Old SR 15 resulted in transporting six passengers to Goshen General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred at 1:37 p.m. Monday, June 1.
Cherakie Thomas, 21, of New Paris, was driving a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan south on Old SR 15 — also known as CR 23 — and failed to yield at the stop sign. She proceeded onto US 6, where she struck an eastbound 2013 Chevy Impala driven by 28-year-old Paige Kimbler of Cromwell.
Thomas incurred foot pain and Kimbler suffered injuries to her elbow, chest and ankle. Both were transported to Goshen General Hospital, along with two other occupants in each vehicle, all of whom complained of pain.
Both drivers were reported to have been wearing their seat belts and there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
