WARSAW — Planning is underway for this year’s Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony in Warsaw.
The ceremony is organized by the Kosciusko County 9/11 Memorial Remembrance Committee and is generally held at the 9/11 memorial at the park.
Mike Cox, co-chair of the Kosciusko County 9/11 Memorial Remembrance Committee, said the event usually starts out inside the Central Park pavilion and then moves outside to the memorial area.
This year, according to Cox, they are planning on having a wreath laying as a tribute to law enforcement and first responders who died in the line of duty.
Cox said they are also inviting the public to share stories at the event.
“We want to reach out to the community to try to find people who would be willing to share any brief memories about 9/11, personal stories of what they did, where they were and/or how 9/11 affected their lives,” Cox said.
Anyone who would be willing to speak at the event to share about how 9/11 impacted their life may contact Cox at (574) 453-6042.
