Nappanee Apple Fest Cancelled
NAPPANEE – The Nappanee Apple Festival has been cancelled for this year.
The festival’s “Core Committee” announced Tuesday, July 14, that the 2020 festival will be canceled due to health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Committee, in partnership with the city of Nappanee, feels this decision is in the best interest of our sponsorship partners, vendors, volunteers, visitors’ health and safety. After months of brainstorming, we concluded that the safest option was to cancel this year’s festival. The well being and safety of our community is the Apple Festival Committee’s top priority, said a statement from the committee.
We are genuinely humbled by the overwhelming support from the community over the years, and we are confident that the 2021 Nappanee Apple Festival will be better than ever. We want to thank everyone for making this event such a special piece of Nappanee’s history. Stay safe and we will see you in September of 2021, the statement said.
