Kroger To begin Requiring Customers To Use Masks
News Release
WARSAW – More major companies are now requiring customers who enter their stores to wear masks.
On Wednesday, Walmart and Kroger both independently announced new mask requirements
The announcement involving Kroger includes the Owen’s store in Warsaw.
Kroger said in a prepared statement released Wednesday, July 15, that beginning July 22, the company “will require all customers in all locations to wear a mask when shopping in our stores.”
“We are taking this extra step now because we recognize additional precautions are needed to protect our country,” the statement said.
“We respect and acknowledge that some customers, due to medical reasons, may not be able to wear a mask (small children are exempt). We encourage those customers to consider an alternative option like a face shield or facial covering. If they’re unable to wear a mask or an alternative design, we request that they use our ecommerce services like pickup or delivery.”
The Walmart directive takes effect July 20.
