Candy L. Housouer, 63, of Nappanee, died at 3:35 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2020, at her residence of natural causes. She had been in ill health since 2004. 

She was born Feb. 2, 1957 in Plymouth to Earl E. and Carolyn Sue (Ham) Elliott.

Mrs. Housouer moved to Nappanee 26 years ago. She married Jerry Housouer Aug. 8, 2004 in Elkhart County.

Candy had worked at Walmart in Goshen and had formerly worked at Coppes Kitchens in Nappanee. She enjoyed doing artwork both with paint and pencils. She also enjoyed planting flowers, watching the Food Network and Walmart shopping.

Surviving is her husband, Jerry; children, Denise Cave, Nappanee, Charles (Diane) Housouer, Warsaw; stepchildren, Wendy Housouer, Cassopolis, MI, Angela Housouer, Nappanee, Angel Housouer, Indianaopolis, Ashley Housouer, Rochester; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Connie Cave, Rochester, Laurie Landry, Warsaw; and brother, Mike Elliott, Warsaw.  She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Amanda Gonce; sister, Cindy Copeland; and brother, Larry Elliott.

Cremation will take place.
