Benjamin Andrew Gentry Sr

Benjamin Andrew Gentry Sr, 32, of Rochester passed away at 4:38 p.m., July 24, 2020, at his residence.

On Oct. 7, 1988, Benjamin was born to Perry and Helen Noftsger Gentry. In 2007, Ben proudly graduated from Rochester High School.

Ben worked as a concrete finisher with Heiman Construction.

Being with his family was a constant in Ben’s life, whether it was playing catch with his kids, working on cars with his dad or those sibling fights. Fishing and hunting with the kids and competing in the family football games were cherished times. To sit back and relax, he enjoyed a drink with family and friends.

Left to cherish the memories of Ben are his wife Clarissa, children Nachelle Gentry, Benjamin Gentry Jr, Mayla Gentry; step children, Brylee Elliott, Breidon Vanderwall, Bahyla Vanderwall; parents, Helen and Jerry Weese of Rochester, Perry and Ashley Gentry  of Montery; siblings, Samantha Blacketor and husband Davey of Rochester, Ashley Gentry of Rochester, Amanda Gentry of New Paris, Payton Gentry of Montery, Jason Weese of Rochester, Jacob Weese of Rochester, Travis Gentry and wife Kupa of Rochester, Josh Gentry and fiance Benji of Huntington, Zechariah Weese of Rochester, Merle Stickler and wife Teah of Rochester, Anthony Gentry of PA, Aaron Gentry of PA;  grandparents, Howard and Betty Gentry of Peru, Gary and Sharon Ringle of Rochester, Juanita Weese of Rochester and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Ben in death are a brother, James Weese, maternal grandparents, Bennie and Dorothy Noftsger, paternal grandparents, Fred Weese, Linda Burgess, David Carr.

A celebration of the life of Benjamin Andrew Gentry Sr. will bet a 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 30. Friends may visit with the family from 11-1 on Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
