St. Joe Upends Northwestern, Warsaw For Plymouth Title

PLYMOUTH – Warsaw opened up its 2020 athletic competition calendar Tuesday, as did Tippecanoe Valley, with entries in the Plymouth Girls Golf Invite, played at Pretty Lake Country Club.
Warsaw finished in a tight race for the top spot, landing third with a 385, two shots back of runner-up Northwestern’s 383 and both chasing South Bend St. Joe and its 379.
Tippecanoe Valley was eighth in the 11-team field with a round of 435.
Warsaw had Marie Frazzetta place third overall in the individual grid with a round of 89. Delaney Byron was next at 97, followed by Sydney Lancaster at 98, Olivia Robinson-Gay at 101 and Brooklyn Fitzgerald at 110.
Valley did not report its individual scores.
Bella Saratore of St. Joe was the overall medalist with a round of 80, five shots clear of the next closest golfer.
