Warsaw 188, Wawasee 210, Northridge 216
Warsaw’s lady linksters opened up their 2020 NLC round robin play with a pair of victories against Wawasee and Northridge. The girls from Wawasee did manage a split on the evening, besting the Raiders by a razor-thin six strokes. The three-way match was contested at Meadow Valley Golf Club in Middlebury.
Warrior ace Tate Cowan did walk away with low medalist honors, firing a crisp 43, which was one stroke better than ‘Ridge’s Karisa Dyer and two shots better than the Tigers’ Sydney Lancaster.
The ladies from Warsaw earned the team victory through consistency, however. All four Tiger scorers were within three strokes of one another, with a 47 from Marie Frazetta and a pair of 48s from Delaney Byron and Olivia Robinson-Gay.
For Wawasee, Taylor Cripe held the two line on the team scorecard, firing a 48. Teammates Rylee Firestone and Delaney Delagrange rounded out the Warrior total with a 58 and 61, respectively.
