In a rescheduled contest from earlier in the season, Bethany put up a fight, but NorthWood reigned 25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-18.

Kendal Miller had a huge night setting up NorthWood points, recording 39 helpers while Annika Bennett added another 10. Bennett chipped in three blocks and three aces.

Alana Lehman and Ali Knepp pounded down 14 kills apiece while Knepp and Macy Lengacher combined for 30 digs. Bre Wise added five aces and three blocks.

NorthWood moves to 6-1 on the season.

Goshen Blue Blazers 3, Wawasee JV 0

Goshen made its annual trip to Wawasee for the non-conference matchup for the Wawasee JV, but saw the Blue Blazers cruise to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-16 win in the Hardwood Teepee.

Laney Gross had 11 kills, three digs and two blocks and Olivia Ousley had seven kills and two blocks to lead Wawasee. Emma Young added 22 assists, six digs and three aces.

“There was a well-rounded effort spearheaded by Ousley’s seven kills,” said Wawasee JV coach Bri Foster. The JV dropped to 7-2 on the season. “Our block stepped up in a big way, shutting down their best hitters throughout the entire match.”
