Kosciusko Health Department Reports 24 New COVID-19 Cases

WARSAW — Between noon Tuesday, Sept. 1, and noon Thursday, Sept. 3, the Kosciusko County Health Department reported a total of 24 new molecular and antigen COVID-19 cases. This brings the county’s total number to 1,060, with 16 deaths.
Currently, 905 Kosciusko County residents have recovered from COVID-19. Six cases are hospitalized active cases, with 133 classified as active. A “hospitalized active case” consists of any active cases that are currently or have been hospitalized at all during their illness. However, consistent with non-hospitalized cases, once their 21-day active period is completed, they are considered recovered.
Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 3,110.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 96,854. More than 1,474,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.
Locally, Fulton County has 208 positive cases, Wabash County has 218 positive cases and Whitley County has 219 positive cases. Marshall County has 910 positive cases, Noble County has 821 positive cases and Elkhart County has 5,702.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 9,275 positive cases; Allen County has 5,127 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 5,293 positive cases.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 2,231,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
