UPDATE: Five Injured When Truck Hits Tree

CROMWELL — Five teenagers were injured, three seriously but not believed to be life-threatening, in a single-vehicle accident around 11:30 a.m. today, Sept. 4. All five were transported to hospitals in Fort Wayne, according to Indiana State Police.
Victoria Slone, 17, Cromwell, driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, and four passengers: Brandon Tinkley, 17; Jayden Long, 17; Gabriel Roder, 16 and James Long 16, suffered injuries ranging from lacerations to possible broken arms.
Trooper Jacob Bill arrived at the scene at approximately 11:40 a.m. and reported the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Slone, was northbound on CR 1000E when it went off the road, south of CR 900N. After hitting the tree, the truck went into the pond on the east side of the road.
North Webster Paramedics and Turkey Creek Township Paramedics transported the injured.
Indiana State Police are investigating the crash and were assisted by North Webster Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Turkey Creek Fire Territory.
