Eileen R. Bowser
Eileen R. Bowser, 93, Mentone, passed at 2:04 am, Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at Paddock Springs of Warsaw.
Eileen was born on Aug. 12, 1927 in Mentone, Indiana to the late Russell and Dove (Imhoff) Kercher. She married on June 12, 1948, in the Mentone United Methodist Church to David G. Bowser, who preceded on Oct. 17, 2007.
She was a graduate of Mentone High School in 1945. Eileen had been the Librarian for the Bell Memorial Public Library of Mentone for nearly 50 years. She was a long time member of the Mentone United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading and was an amazing cook. In years past she had done knitting and sewing. She was honored as a past Grand Marshal of the Egg Festival Parade. She took pride, along with her husband, in raising their family.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy and husband Ryan Williams, Macy; sons, Rex Bowser and wife Kathy, Chandler, Ariz., and Reid Bowser, Westfield, Michigan; grandchildren, Melea and Brittany, Jarrod, Justin, Matthew and Kasey; great grandchildren, Taylor, Payton, Simon, Wyatt, Mason, Gracelyn, Isabella, Haylei, Ryan, Connor, Alison, Wyatt, and Nolan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David Bowser; brothers, Douglas and Jack Kercher.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, with Rev. Phil Pratt officiating.
The interment will follow the service in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana.
Visitation hours will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
Masks will be required for all in attendance for the services.
