Staff Report
WARSAW — Two Warsaw men were recently arrested on multiple criminal charges related to gang activity after battering a man and threatening people.
Brady Dean White, 44, 4492 E. CR 600S, Warsaw, is charged with rape, a level 1 felony; robbery with a deadly weapon and two counts of criminal confinement, both level 3 felonies; possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a level 4 felony; intimidation with a deadly weapon and criminal organization activity, both level 5 felonies; and two counts of pointing a firearm, both level 6 felonies.
Brandon Scott Mulldune, 32, 4492 E. CR 600S, Warsaw, is charged with rape, a level 1 felony; armed robbery and criminal confinement, both level 3 felonies; battery resulting in serious bodily injury, intimidation and criminal organization activity, all level 5 felonies; and pointing a firearm, a level 6 felony.
On Sept. 6, Warsaw Police officers went to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Work Release Center regarding a distressed man fleeing from people trying to harm him. Upon arrival, the officers met with the man, who said he was staying at the Deluxe Inn, Warsaw. According to court documents, a woman and a man, later identified as White, showed up at his hotel room and stole the room’s television. White, the woman and the man then left the hotel and went to White’s residence.
While at White’s residence, Mulldune allegedly pointed a firearm at the man while also in possession of a crowbar. Mulldune then racked a round into the handgun’s chamber and threatened the man, telling him “that is what he is going to get.” Mulldune hit the man in the face, head and body with the gun. The man said that during the beating, there were times when White also hit him with the firearm. Mulldune held the man down while White forced a hard object inside him.
The man later said he was forced to go to a friend’s residence in Palestine to get property to give to both White and Mulldune. Eventually, the group drove to the Phillips 66 gas station in Warsaw to pick somebody up; the man then fled the vehicle and ran to the work release center.
Officers also spoke with a woman, who said she went to the Deluxe Inn earlier that night with a woman to pick up the man. According to court documents, the three of them were going to go to South Bend to try to purchase heroin. After failing to get a check cashed, the man said they would take the television from the hotel room and trade it for a gram of heroin. The man took the television and the three of them went to White’s residence.
While at White’s residence, the woman said White pointed a firearm at her and that Mulldune pointed a firearm at the man. She then witnessed both White and Mulldune beating the man and that White beat the man on the head, face and body with a firearm. At one point, White allegedly grabbed the man by the throat. White and Mulldune also called the man “a snitch” and threatened him, saying he “owed them payback.” The woman said the beatings were extremely violent and that both White and Mulldune were yelling at the man with criminal gang terminology.
The woman said White and Mulldune wanted recompense for what the man allegedly did to them; the man said he could take them to a residence and get a stimulus check they could have. White and Mulldune had the woman drive them and the man to a residence in Palestine. White told the woman that if the man tried to signal to anyone in the residence that there was trouble, White would kill everyone inside. When the man couldn’t find the check, he went into a vehicle on the property and got tools and other items to give to White and Mulldune.
They took the items, left the residence and headed to the Phillips 66 gas station to pick up the woman’s boyfriend. While at the gas station, the man was able to open the door and flee from the vehicle. As the man fled, White grabbed and tore the man’s shirt, trying to keep him from exiting the vehicle.
From this and prior investigations, officers are aware that White is affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood criminal organization and that Mulldune is affiliated with the Dirty White Boys criminal organization. Based upon information provided by witnesses, officers believe the beating and rape were punishment for interfering with the activities of criminal organizations that both Mulldune and White are affiliated with.
Mulldune told officers in an interview that the man was beaten and pistol whipped by White. At one point, White put a gun in the man’s mouth and threatened him. Mulldune only admitted to hitting the man once for lying to Mulldune about another incident.
White is classified as a serious violent felon, having been convicted of trafficking with an inmate in Wabash County in August 2012.
Mulldune and White were both booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 6. A no-contact order was also put in place between White, Mulldune and the two victims.
