We voters are fortunate to live in a jurisdiction that allows us to select our local county judges. In this November’s general election, we will choose the next judge of Superior Court 3.

While some voters may choose a candidate based solely on his/her political party affiliation, I encourage all voters to research both candidates to determine who is most qualified, has the necessary experience and the strength of character to preside over Kosciusko County’s Superior Court 3. In this race, my vote is for Antony “Tony” Garza.

Superior Court 3 handles Level 5 and 6 felonies, including felony traffic cases, such as OWI and OWI causing serious bodily injury and/or death, issuance of protective orders, small claims and civil cases. Tony has been practicing law for more than 20 years and has for most of his practice regularly appeared in our local courts. Tony has years of experience handling criminal cases both as a deputy prosecutor and as a defense attorney. In his private practice, he has handled countless family law matters and civil cases. Tony has participated in jury and bench trials and contested hearings.

He is a certified mediator and, as such, is experienced with helping resolve party disputes. As a practicing trial attorney and litigator, Tony knows the Indiana rules of evidence and Indiana rules of trial procedure, which are vital in the courtroom. When comparing Tony’s resume to his opponent’s, it is clear Tony Garza is the most qualified and experienced candidate for Superior Court 3 judge.

I am a local attorney and have known Tony for more than 20 years. Tony is incredibly intelligent, an avid reader and world traveler. He has a passion for volunteer work and is well-respected in the legal community. Tony is a Warsaw native and has spoken publicly about his humble beginnings. His life experiences have made him empathetic, relatable and down-to-earth. Tony possesses so many of the qualities we want in our local judges. He definitely has the strength of character needed in Superior Court 3.

With his qualifications, experience and strength of character, Tony Garza is the best choice for Superior Court 3 judge.
