Dorothy L. Warmbrod
Dorothy L. Warmbrod, 89, Rochester, passed away at 10:29 p.m., Thursday Sept. 10, 2020, in Plymouth.
She was born on April 9, 1931, in Hammond, the daughter of John and Lois (Roberts) Young. On Oct. 21, 1951, in Winamac, Indiana, she married Kenneth E. Warmbrod. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2017.
Mrs. Warmbrod had worked for Crystal Dairy and Schultz Dime Store, both of Rochester and Chamberlains in Akron. She was active over the years in the women’s bowling leagues, Bunco Club, along with her husband had done extensive traveling visiting forty eight states. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy, music, reading, family gatherings, serving as the family historian, following Indiana University basketball and the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include her children, Mike and wife Sylvia Warmbrod, Decatur, Ill., Kathy and husband David Isbell, Rochester, Carolyn and husband Jim Pennell, Rochester, Melinda and husband Robert Styles, Rochester, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, sister-in laws, Carol Warmbrod, Rochester, Wilma Young, Winamac, Indiana, Marcella Young, Dyer, Indiana, sever nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, three brothers and a great granddaughter.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Sept. 15, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
