Police Investigate Death Of Man Found At Jellystone Park

PIERCETON – Police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old Garrett man near Ridinger Lake.
Shortly after 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept 17, emergency personnel were dispatched to the Jellystone Campground to investigate a man found in a vehicle near Ridinger Lake.
Crews found the body of Joshua Handy, of Garrett, inside a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Handy was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing and the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious in origin.
Handy was the subject of a missing person investigation conducted by the Garrett Police Department.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Kosciusko Coroner’s Office, Lutheran EMS, Pierceton Police Department, and Pierceton Fire Department.
