BURKET — Frank Swick couldn’t attend the Kosciusko Fire Association meeting Sept. 17. So when he was named the recipient of the 2020 Service Award, plans were made to present the award to him by the Burket Fire Department.
Swick, a 61-year-member of the Burket Fire Department, was presented the award at his home Saturday, Sept. 19.
He was nominated by the the Burket Fire Department. “He has been in service to our department for over 60 years. He is currently 82 years old and has been a constant in our department the whole time,” read Roger Gelbaugh, master of ceremonies, from the nomination.
“He has been a friend and leader to all, including myself. He has been captain for many of these years. We are so very lucky to have him,” the nomination letter concluded.
