SYRACUSE – Tryouts are planned for the Wawasee Lady Warrior Select girls basketball teams.

Dates for the tryouts are to be Monday, Oct. 5, and Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 6-7:15 p.m. at Wawasee High School.

The Select teams are school-aged teams that are being formed this fall to play in the Club 1 League that takes place on four Sundays in November and December. These teams practice twice a week starting the week of Oct. 19 and will play two games each Sunday starting Nov. 15.

There is a $65 fee to join Select to cover tournament fees for the season. The team also is asking a $20 fee for jerseys, and those who played Select last season may wear their old top.
