WARSAW — Those recent flag-waving supporters of President Donald Trump seen in downtown Warsaw took their message on the road on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Trump supporters traveled from Warsaw to Columbia City and back to show their respect for the president and express patriotism.
InkFreeNews counted at least 70 vehicles and motorcycles in the Operation FlagDrop Warsaw Rolling Rally Cruise.
Organizer John Bellamy said he was happy about the turnout. He also started the so-called flag drops in downtown Warsaw that have been going on for two months.
“We just want to have a good time, have fun and support our president and show the love for our country,” said Bellamy. “That’s what this is all about. This is not to protest anyone.”
He and fellow organizer Natalie Francis said they opted to have the rally cruise since COVID-19 restrictions had cut down on the number of the president’s rallies.
“We’re just trying to show support for Trump, for our country, get people interested in voting and researching, and just really seeing that there’s support out there and it does matter who the candidate is and to just encourage people to look for information, encourage that voting because it’s really important,” she said.
The group plans to keep up its flag displays in the downtown. Those who are interested in joining the group may contact Francis on Facebook.
