MENTONE — The Library Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, both in person and via Zoom.

The library is excited to announce that the teens and young adults of the library will be collecting items to donate to Fulton County Animal Adoption & Education Center for the entire month of September. There are two locations where donated items may be dropped off: a drop box located in the YA room and an additional box located at Pete and Freddy’s Pages Aplenty Bookstore, located at 109 E. Main St, Mentone. Items may be dropped off at the main circulation desk as well. For a complete list of items needed for donation, please stop by the library. A list of items needed can also be found on the library’s Facebook page.

September Creative Corner grab-n-go kits are now available for pick up. This month’s kit is a painted ‘Welcome’ mat. Everything needed will be provided to patrons at no cost. The library has a limited supply. If interested, please call (574)-353-7234 to reserve one.
Please take notice that the library hours have changed. As of September 1, 2020, the hours of operation are:
- Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday – 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Sunday – Closed

Teens and children can browse these titles: “The Desert Prince” by Alisha Sevingy; and “Bubba and Squirt’s Mayon Adventure” by Sherry Ellis. All you need to use Hoopla’s streaming service is a valid Library card. If you are interested in signing up, please stop in and talk with a staff member.
The library is still offering curbside services for any patron wishing to exercise these options. There are no limits on how much material can be requested.
